This illustration by Peter Newell from an abridged version of Baron Munchausen (“Mr. Munchausen: An Account of Some of His Recent Adventures” by John Kendrick Bangs) makes me think of the shark scene in L’autreamont’s Maldoror. (Pre or post-coital? haha…)
